Short version

Crushie uses information to run accounts, profiles, posts, messages, and the photos or videos you choose to attach. It is also used for support, safety, and keeping the app reliable. We do not sell personal information for money. You can ask to see, correct, or delete information, as described below.

02What is collected

Details you enter

  • Account and profile fields, such as display name, email, date of birth, username, photo, short bio, and interests.
  • Posts, messages, reactions, reports, and media you choose to attach.
  • Information you include in a support note, a safety report, or an appeal.
  • Purchase status for a paid feature. Card numbers are handled by Google Play or another payment provider and are not stored by Crushie.

Details recorded by the app

  • Device model, operating system, app version, language, an identifier needed to run the app or, where allowed, advertising, and a notification token.
  • Feature use, session times, and how you interact with content.
  • IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, security events, and an approximate region inferred from the network.

Photos and videos

A photo or video is read only when you pick it for a profile, a post, or a message. Crushie does not scan the library in the background and does not upload files you did not select. You can withdraw media access in Android settings. Using the system photo picker limits how much access the app needs.

03Why it is used

  • To provide the account, profile, posts, media, and messaging you request.
  • To keep you signed in, record a purchase, and answer support.
  • To surface conversations or posts that relate to interests you set.
  • To detect spam, fraud, abuse, and security problems.
  • To fix faults and understand whether the app is working.
  • To meet legal duties and valid official requests.

People in the EEA and the UK

We process information to perform this service, to meet legal duties, and for legitimate interests such as security and abuse prevention. Where the law requires consent — including some notifications, ads, permissions, or sensitive data — we ask for it. You can withdraw that consent later.

04When information leaves Crushie

  • Other people on Crushie. Profile fields, posts, and selected media are visible according to the feature you use. A message is delivered to its recipients.
  • Vendors. Hosting, storage, moderation, analytics, support, communications, security, and payment providers receive only what they need to do that work.
  • Safety and law. Information may be disclosed when reasonably required to follow the law, protect someone, investigate abuse, or enforce this agreement.
  • A business transfer. Information may move with a merger, financing, or asset sale, with notice where the law requires it.

Crushie does not sell personal information for money. If that ever changed, this page would be updated and any required choice would be offered first.

To ask which categories were shared, email us with the subject Right to know.

05Your requests

  • Access eligible information, or receive a portable copy.
  • Correct account details that are wrong.
  • Delete the account and associated personal information, aside from lawful exceptions.
  • Withdraw consent or object to certain processing.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, a sale of personal information, or profiling that the law treats as significant.
  • Appeal a refused request where that right exists.

Email dowlentheiligdt217@gmail.com from the address on the account. Use a subject such as Privacy request, Right to know, or Opt out, and say which choice you want. We may confirm that you control the account, and we will answer within the time the applicable law allows.

You can also close an account on the account closure page, or in the app under Me → Settings → Close this account.

People in the EEA or the UK may complain to their local data protection authority. People in California or Virginia may contact the relevant Attorney General. Please write to us first so we can try to resolve it.

06Retention and protection

Account information stays while the account is active and while it is needed to run Crushie. After a verified closure request, we aim to delete or de-identify associated information within 30 days. Backup copies and limited security logs may remain for up to 90 days. Records needed for a transaction, a dispute, fraud prevention, or a legal duty may be kept for the required period and then deleted or de-identified.

We use access limits, encryption in transit, and monitoring suited to the information. No internet service can promise perfect security.

07Age limit

Crushie is for people 18 or older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us. Child safety reports are handled under the Youth Protection page.

08Transfers and updates

Information may be processed in a country other than yours. Where required, we use a recognized safeguard such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

This page will show a new date when it changes, and material changes will be notified where required.
